Apart from generating the above by-products from the oil-extraction process, K S Oils also helps in producing bricks. The coal-ash remnants from the plant's boilers are transported to the local brick kilns to be made into bricks for construction industry, giving a fillip to the local cottage industry of brick kilns.
To create optimum efficiency in the production process and reduce use of natural resources, the waste water from cleaning of the seeds is also treated. This water is left with some content of oil in it. Using suitable separation processes, these compounds are recovered and transformed into products for use in agriculture and the environmental friendly biotechnology industry.
Additionally K S Oils have their own water treatment plant, which maintains a balance in the eco-system. The treated water is recycled extensively and used for farming and gardening in and around the factory.
